The Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Program is an important initiative of the Papua New Guinea Law Society designed to provide ongoing professional development opportunities for lawyers and legal professionals.
Established to support legal practitioners throughout their careers, CLE programs help lawyers remain informed of developments in law, improve professional competence, strengthen ethical standards, and contribute to the effective administration of justice.
What is CLE?
Continuing Legal Education (CLE) refers to structured learning and professional development activities undertaken by lawyers after admission to practice.
The objectives of CLE are to:
- Enhance legal knowledge and skills
- Promote ethical and professional conduct
- Improve the quality of legal services
- Support developments in law and legal practice
- Encourage lifelong learning within the profession
