The Papua New Guinea Law Society currently has 1533 lawyers registered with Practicing Certificates for 2026 and number is steadily increasing.
No Practicing Certificate means no right to practice as a lawyer and no right to be a Commissioner for Oaths.
The public is encouraged to report to the PNG Law Society of any lawyer who does not have their name on this list but is practicing i.e providing legal services. This includes a lawyer who has a Consultancy Firm but does not have an Unrestricted Practicing Certificate (UPC).
